Graduated from the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Civil Engineering.

Master degree from the same Faculty, with work done at the Gdansk University of Technology.

Doctoral degree earned at the University of Tokyo with mentor Professor Kenji Ishihara

(Department of Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering Laboratory).

 

Worked in soil mechanics and geotechnical engineering, geotechnical laboratory,

geotechnical earthquake engineering, earthquake engineering.

 

After working as a structural designer at the Consulting project, Zagreb,

worked as assistant and assistant professor at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, University of Zagreb.

From 2003, employed at the Polytechnic of Zagreb, Department of Civil Engineering,

as assistant professor, later college professor.

From 2003 to 2006 vice rector for education and students.

Founded the second cycle of professional study programmes at the Polytechnic of Zagreb.

 

Wrote a textbook in Croatian Introduction to the Soil Mechanics (Uvod u mehaniku tla).

Teaches Soil Mechanics (Mehanika tla), Geotechnical Engineering (Geotehnika)

and Modern Methods in Geotechnical Engineering (Suvremene metode u geotehnici).

Teaches also Quality Management (Upravljanje kvalitetom).

Materials are now, unfortunately, available only to students.

 

Interested in affirmation of Geotechnical Engineering,
one of the key persons in organization of Danubian Conference in Porec, May 1998,
gave significant contribution to organization of Eurock 2009,
edits  web pages of the Croatian Geotechnical Society.
