Compulsory professional literature
The only compulsory professional literature required for the exam in Communication Skills at the Zagreb Polytechnic are a collection of papers that can be found in a bookshop placed in the northern building of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture of the Zagreb University and this textbook.
Recommended professional literature
The list contains a wide selection of books and journals in the area of communication skills and makes a good start point for general studying of the subject as well as for writing seminar papers, final papers and graduation theses. At the moment of writing this text, most books are available at Zagreb City Libraries, National and University Library in Zagreb and Library of the Faculty of Philosophy in Zagreb. Some journals are free and some are available through CARNet Online Databases Centre and National and University Library.
Professional literature in the field of communication skills is very diverse. Interhuman communication is addressed in psychology, theatrology, media studies, sociology, philosophy, business world… In fact, we can say that there is not any area of human activity which is not connected with this important topic. To make it easier to deal with various approaches to communication, we have roughly divided relevant professional literature into several important fields. This division in no case is analytically done or complete. If you more deeply research some topic, we advise you to go through the whole bibliography listed below. Of course, the offered bibliography is inevitably incomplete, and any serious research requires your own search for additional relevant sources.
Every practical class tackled in the left menu includes a separate bibliography referring to its contents. All those sources are also jointly listed on this page.
